ABOUT ME
Cindy Zu is a tech executive and go-to-market leader with a track record of driving revenue through partnerships, ecosystem strategy, and innovation. With a deep commitment to fostering a more diverse and inclusive startup ecosystem, she encourages under-represented groups to engage in startup investing and non-profit board work.
Her career spans APAC, EMEA, and the U.S., bridging the worlds of institutional finance, high-growth tech, and mission-driven leadership. She brings a proven track record of advising Fortune 500 companies, governments, and venture-backed startups while championing underrepresented communities in business and investing.
Cindy is currently the Vice President of Business Development & Alliances at Tackle.io, the category leader in Cloud Marketplace solutions. At Tackle, she leads cloud go-to-market and co-sell strategy with top ecosystem partners including AWS, Google Cloud, Salesforce, and Microsoft. Tackle has processed over $10 billion in marketplace transactions and is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, and Bessemer Venture Partners.
Cindy began her career at J.P. Morgan, with roles across Hong Kong, Shanghai, New York, and Seattle in both the Corporate & Investment Bank and Asset Management divisions. She went on to lead strategy at an AI fintech startup, where she negotiated global licensing deals with hedge funds and institutional investors. At PitchBook Data, she built deep relationships across the global venture and private equity ecosystem, working closely with financial institutions and corporate strategy teams.
Previously, as Senior Director of Partner Revenue & Ecosystem at Highspot, Cindy architected the global partner strategy and scaled revenue-generating programs with strategic partners such as Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft, and Bain. She also founded HAPI, Highspot’s Asian Pacific Islander ERG, to foster inclusion and cultural community.
Cindy was named one of Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and is a committed community leader. She has served on the boards of multiple nonprofits and private companies, including as Founder and Board Chair of the Seattle Finance Collective and as an Advisory Board Member for the Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Program at the University of Washington. She currently serves on the boards of the Carolina Women in Tech and the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra.
An active voice in the finance and tech ecosystem, Cindy frequently speaks at conferences and events on cloud GTM, ecosystem strategy, and inclusive leadership.
She currently resides in North Carolina with her family and enjoys career coaching, tennis, boxing, and travel.
